Format details of a BURKORD® database.
Each BURKORD® database contains two header lines and
two kinds of records - any number in any order:
Note: Copies of DOS-based BURKORD® software do not include
use of first attribute field as described below.
1. A point record contains the following fields, space or comma delimited:
- Attribute field - string characters (no blanks)
- First character (required) is reserved.
- p is a point record.
- c is a correlation record
- Next three characters (optional) are project identifiers.
- Characters 5 to n (also optional) are prerogative of user.
- Point number - integer.
- X/Y/Z coordinates - 3 double precision fields.
- Variances of X/Y/Z - 3 double precision fields.
- Covarinaces XY,XZ,YZ - 3 double precision fields.
- Station name - string characters (blanks ok prior to end-of-record).
2. A correlation record contains the following fields, space or comma delimited:
- Attribute field - string characters (no blanks)
- First character (required) is reserved.
- p is a point record.
- c is a correlation record
- Next three characters (optional) are project identifiers.
- Characters 5 to n (also optional) are prerogative of user.
- Two point numbers - 2 integers.
- X1X2,X1Y2,X1Z2 correlations - 3 double precision fields.
- Y1X2,Y1Y2,Y1Z2 correlations - 3 double precision fields.
- Z1X2,Z1Y2,Z1Z2 correlations - 3 double precision fields.
